Project Description:
Millard + Associates Architects LLC worked with the Ketchikan Historic Commission and the local Neighborhood Association to develop guidelines for the preservation, protection, enhancement, and perpetuation of the District’s unique cultural, social, economic and architectural heritage. The District is characterized by a strong street edge, two- and three-story wood buildings, and wood boardwalks and streets along the edge of Thomas Basin boat harbor. The mix of commercial and residential structures create a cohesive sense of place.
