Millard + Associates Architects Firm Profile

Millard + Associates Architects, L.L.C., formerly Millard + Peters Architects, has been serving Southeast Alaska for over 16 years, providing a full service architectural practice with an emphasis on client involvement, design excellence, and originality. We have an extensive portfolio of successful award-winning projects which have enhanced the lives of those who live or work in Southeast Alaska, including such diverse projects in Ketchikan as the True North Building, The Landing Hotel: North Court Addition, Cape Fox Multi-Use Technology Training Center, and Stedman-Thomas Historic District Design Guidelines.

As architects, we are generalist as opposed to specialists.  We have been involved in just about every type of building, from shipyards to preschools and community arts centers to floating fishing lodges.  This diversity is our strength, allowing us to approach projects from a different angle, and bringing innovative solutions to clients needs.

Our firm brings technical expertise in the challenge of waterfront development, permitting, extreme climate and soil conditions, and the knowledge of site opportunities and constraints. Past waterfront projects include Ketchikan Harbormaster Facility, Ketchikan Ports & Harbors Development Plan with kpff Engineers, Ketchikan Shipyard Improvements, and The Wharf: Master Plan & Main St. Building. We approach each project as a unique opportunity to combine traditional materials and techniques with new leading edge technologies, function, and process. We believe that each project should reflect the genius of its place and the goals of its owners. Present staff include Linda Millard, Principal; Morgan Barry, Intern Architect; Hilary Koch, Administrative and Technical Assistance.
